Hi guys. So im new in 3d and in trying to model this ice cream car. I cant figure out how to made nice and clean wireframe for highpoly. This is my lowpoly. All modeled as one mesh. Maybe i should separate it?
@Kerotronic This thread is mainly for 3D artists who are struggling with MODELING shapes etc. not Animation. Please read the thread title. :) If you're looking for Animation threads try visiting this link : "http://wiki.polycount.com/wiki/Animation" and look for tutorials you see fit.
Hi, i'm new here. I came across this really awesome thread, and what a coincidence, i have a question so i registered. :) I'm working on an Audi A5 (in 3d Studio max). The car has some sharp edges that fade out at some places.. for example at the rear of the car. Now i already modeled it and i think it look OK, but i was…
Thanks Warren. Sorry for asking a bit off topic thing here. but I will be specific from next time on Modeling. I'm looking for an advice on basic work related to Game Art Production. My Pipeline needs Blocking>Sculpt>Retopology>UV>Bake>Texture>Export to UE4. Fed up with the way 3ds Max works, pathetic upgrades, useless and…
verb: You could use floating geometry to model those details. This video is in Blender but it should still be clear how the technique works: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tEjLDkWB4QY"]Blender 3d - Tip Floating Geometry with Normal Mapping - YouTube[/ame]
What is ndo2? - i'm in 3ds max here by the way. also is isnt as simple as your making out for the top part, i need supporting edges somewhere to make the buttom part where the bolt will go through flat and have hard edges at the side..
I think when you got 2017 you must've checked the "Please destroy my anus" box in the installation wizard. Jokes aside, why hasn't 17's instability been addressed yet? Does Autodesk even know they own 3DS?
@okidoki Was the question directed at me? If so, thanks, I hope I understand your question. I have enough padding, I think...0.01 at 2048x2048 px. I also tested the padding at 0,04. Normal map back in 3ds Max with UV's: Cheers
If you want a 3D modeling noobies thoughts haha. Doesn't the move tool have settings specifically for world or object or component and the like? If it's set to world it'd go straight down but if its set to one of the others won't it follow the same path as the rest of the pillar?
