I also agree that including 1 min previews on youtube are great, I think anyone who is considering creating videos for the platform should do them. 1 min snippets from my videos seem to have helped people make the decision.
Cheers Thegodzero, Here is this mornings speed painting. It also took 1 hour and I based it off a 1 inch sketch once again. I tried to loosen the flow up a little with this one, taking some inspiration from craig mullens style.
I'm trying to create a simple rollout with a bitmap image for a button, but the image needs to use its alpha channel as the mask. The problem is while it's easy to get the bitmap I can't figure out how to use the alpha in it. This is what I'm doing: rollout image_button_test "Image Button" width:150 height:100 ( I thought…
I'm pretty sure that it works like this. Blender sends out a ray outwards from the low poly model with a maximum distance set by distance. If distance is left at 0 the ray is infinite. This ray terminates on the first thing it hits so it's more than likely to hit the back of an object and will terminate before it hits…
Me and a friend used it recently when working on a level: Situation: 2 people are working in the same package (adding assets). Person 1 adds 2 assets and uploads it to dropbox. Person 2 in meanwhile added a asset of his own and uploads it 2minutes later -> the assets from person 1 will not be there, because that newer…
@perna, @Dataday I'm a 3D modeler myself and where I came from the word "pipeline" is used to describe flow of data from one software to another. I felt that this is not what the perna meant so I've asked a simple question. I'm taking you're questions/concerns seriously and will provide the feedback you're asking for in…
trying to scrape together free resources is one of the worst mindsets to have as a beginner and directly responsible for people learning at a super slow rate, or becoming frustrated. With the new trend of top tier industry artists putting out amazingly high quality art tutorials for what is equal to pennies on the dollar…
I find a lot of beginners have that mindset. You need to realize that most professionals time is probably valued at anywhere from 40-100 dollars an hour, usually more for 1 on 1 instruction. Not only that, but its literally a step by step how to, from somone who has worked on the exact project and workflow you said you are…
Just another mention in here: i think it was either linus or gamers nexus that looked into which "plug" the fire issues stemed from, they have a 3rd party solution, some yellow replacement plug that prevents all the issues everyone had including the "miss insertions", where you think you plugged it in all the way but…
