I think whatever technique lets you free yourself from constraints and go as fast as possible is the right one...but that's just me. also: alchemy = awesome
A gun I've just started working on. Not doing a highpoly because we don't normal map our guns due to texture memory constraints. It's currently in the early stages, so all crits are welcome.
If those are all equal in the 3D space, try with "unfold along V". I don't remember if Maya 2017 exposes that command already or not. If not, you need to open the unfold legacy options and select the option "unfold constraint: vertical".
green means, you have a constraint and keyframe animation controlling your channel, as we can see in the picture. This can be blended with the automatically created Blend Orient attribute. http://download.autodesk.com/global/docs/maya2013/en_us/index.html
Hey Turista, I agree - Not enough love on the legs. I originally had clothing on him from the waist down (a.k.a trousers lol) but I had to remove them due to the constraints of my module. Thankyou for the feedback :)
I don't particularly like what i'm seeing on that site but whatever. Let me give it a shot: An array is essentially a variable that can hold more than one value. It does this by storing each value in sequence. Maybe you could equate it to a shopping list, you write down what you need: -milk -eggs -bread -carrots -sugar So,…
Pretty awesome work given the time constraints too! Really like the bottle and its leather holder. The wood on the knife looks a lot weaker than the rest of the model could do with a bit more detail in the colour and normal maps.
... and last point.... Because 2 constraint for strip : - to list vertex in a right order - to list vertex in the right way (CCW and CW) :D yeah because after if I apply a glCullFace(GL_BACK).... Could ghave more surprise :D
A more simple and constraints-free approach would be, each time someone submits a cool video tutorial, an ingame video of something being worked on (ZeroGear in action) or a nice demo reel, this is sent out as a podcast episode if the mods validate it...
