Hi, you can still test the item, though. Use the Dota 2 Test application. It works fine in there, but don't know if you can actually upload a final submission. But everything else is fine.
Yes for the whole model itself: http://wiki.polycount.com/wiki/GradientMapping http://polycount.com/discussion/101248/dota-2-art-guide-baking-a-gradient-mask/p1 (do the same thing for the mace too)

Hello everyone, I'm new to this world! I'm now living in Brighton, UK improving my English. I would like to start working on video games, making items for Dota 2 Workshop. I used Riki for my first character. I welcome feedback!
Thanks for wiki =) , but i was talking about hi-polys exactly how much hipolys in avarege garriola83 has in his models, i know about an rts and other games, a made 3 weapon models for Dota 2, so thats not a question.
Steph - I looked up gaf on google and found some nice roofing and shingle companies. I sure hope those guys like DOTA XD Thanks for the comments all :) Now I gotta figure out what to work on next...
Oh, and I also sculpt a little this one is the cm set, the concept of which I posted here before I know there's much to be reworked in both sculpt and concept, cause it lacks the, um... feeling of dota, still leaving it here anyways ;D
That's what I said. I think LOL and DOTA have 50 or so characters, so getting them all for $25 would be a 50% discount over buying them all separately. So, the issue isn't freemium. It's shoddily implemented freemium.
I just posted a thread about that! Basically, cybormatt says that there are some singles lingering around the dota 2 files under a new tag "new world". <edit "Perfect world" So, singles are a maybe.
Yeah I don't think the GOW 3 book goes into the actual process to deeply. For Dota 2 they have some pretty in depth stuff here though. http://www.dota2.com/workshop/ Hope that helps!
