Hey guys, hopefully some of the more tech artist minded people here can help out with this one. I'm trying to make a procedural fence I can use for one of my projects. I made an example video and sudo blue prints of how I'd imagine this would work, but I'm having trouble figuring exact which nodes I'd use, and how to setup…

That is looking muchhhh better now, it's starting to match your reference now. Also there was something I also spotted later on and figured out what else could be stopping you from achieving a look closer to your reference. I don't know a ton about game development, teams, planning etc., but I guarantee you that your investors would not be happy with whatever 2d game you could come up with from scratch in only a few months when you guys were given 2 years of dev time already. My first suggestion is to really focus on…
Ok actual bigish update! Did some massive color shifts on the textures, because the "dark world" was looking far too normal and without anything to compare it to, didn't really appear dark at all. Still probably not final, there's always more tweaking to do, but I think I'm happier with the direction it's going now. The…
In general, it's A; with a relatively clean topo, you can indeed use the Chamfer modifier and there would be no reason to use this. Using Smooth chamfered faces only, 180 as angle and Smooth to adjacent on wll give you quite a nice result; also don't forget to turn Limit Effect off - if you want, I may share the…
