So thanks for making it clear to me perna :D For someone who is still in college and counts every penny its important to not be forced to buy new SSD because the previous hit its expiration date. I know everything wears and gets old but well used HDD can last really long time. Even if it hits the floor you can try low…
I picked up the full version of the game, and I think I like it... I really want to like it... but I've played the Tony Hawk series so much that I cant get those habits out of my system. I keep holding A all the time (prepping for an ollie in the THPS games), and I keep trying to put my landing over a rail regardless of…
Ben, thanks for this cool shader! Doesn't work well though unless the UVs are in channels 1 and 2... my mesh was using the 3rd and 4th channels, but the shader would then force the diffuse to share the same UV as the lightmap. One thing that would be uber-helpful would be a 3d paint solution that let me paint into one UV,…
reminds me of a part from "Bard's Tale"... as i remember the part when you go in some orc settlement.. tho it was long time ago so i may be wrong :) in any case Great job, love the "old school rpg" atmosphere
You've got a good grasp on names. I like Thael Ong'Gosh, the Half-Orc. I always like seeing Rp'ers/fantasy lovers with a good grasp of naming. You're not gonna call an Dwarf " Selhin Mel'Finus", right? More like "Orin BroodHammer".
I would say especially in LOTR. Have you ever seen a scratch on Legolas or him even getting dirty for that matter? The heroes can however kill like 342423420 orcs with one single blow... I need to be able to relate to the characters in a story.
The Blighted: another diffuse painted model for an as of yet unannounced project by InsaneRoot (concept by Matt Dixon). 7781 triangles with 1k diffuse map. As usual, Maya + BodyPaint + PS. Other models I made for this project are Botler and Brutus. I'm not sure what this guy is exactly, but I thought of him as something…
Hey guys, just finished up this scene. would love to hear what you think - critique always welcome. Inspired by the Shadowmoon Orc clan in World of Warcraft. Rendered in UE4. If you want to see anything specific (wireframes, textures, etc.) let me know. My ArtStation https://youtu.be/anLfeaaw2nA
