you're right he might not have seen this thread - the main reason I posted that is because he posted something yesterday after this thread had already been created... so I was under the assumption he saw and opted not to respond and be flamed. -

nah, it'll be far tamer than that, I'm sure. "flame throwers" (which are mostly show and little damage) and some crude projectiles. I would love to see them tear each other to shreds, but I highly doubt that'll be the case. -

My knowledge of maya is very small. I'm fairly new at the program so I don't know what everything does or how to get certain effects done. The video is tracked using matchmover 2011 and the flame is a 3d fluid container with attributes I've been messing with. -

I had to show a bar tender here in tokyo how to make flaming absynthes once. took ages for his boss to let me set fire to the spoons. when it was first legal in the UK everyone was mad for it. I drank some and almost lost my vision. -
