I work with the guy who developed the physics plug-in they used in the movie. He was on cloud 9 of course. Same plug is being used in some Herbie movie with Lindsey Lohan or somethin. -

do you use the default cage it makes in the projection modifier? 9/10 times I find I need to reset the auto-generated cage and just up the push value -

assuming you use max, select "elements" and delete the proper ones ? or the cut and merge is not result of a internal copy, but the consequence of max's illogic behavior (see the Lightwave > 3dsmax 9 thread) -

well this is fairly straight forward playing with everyone's favorite, the painter 6 style "simple water" brush, that for some reason has a wonky default setting in painter 9, but is otherise the same... -

Also the new 9 series nvidia cards should be out in February so I would wait for those to hit. That is what I am waiting for to start building a new rig. -
