3dsmax navigation issues.

Yeah like I said before, automatic mapping is garbage and isn't really used. UV mapping techniques vary from person to person. My personal work flow for unwrapping is: 1) Select faces I want as a UV shell 2) Planar project across an axis that can "see" the most polygons of my selection 3) Cut seams 4) Unfold shell 5)… -

I had once the idea of scripting this: so basically some line intersection collision detection between the outer edges of the shells and trying to pull all shells to the upper left corner. But I don't have time to do it anytime soon and it wouldn't be so fast as something compiled with the max SDK. This Guy wrote this… -

You're not going to win this, I'm afraid. It's too easy to get access to digital art and you can't stop it because any arguably effective measures run afoul of violating people's inalienable rights (i.e. free speech). The only thing you really can do is just change the way your art gets you paid. Create a new revenue… -

The diorama was a painting, yes... but they want you to come up with a concept on your own and render it in 3D (hence why they spell out the tri-count limit on the tree for an example). Good luck to all :) -
