Thank you! I did a video tutorial for Autodesk regarding how i created this rig. This is not a step-by-step video tutorial so some basics of knowledge of 3ds MAX is needed. Here is the url link: https://area.autodesk.com/tutorials/luxojr-rigging-tutorial-/
Alt + LMB and Alt + MMB is the old school zooming way of maya, RMB button has only been introduced recently (maybe since autodesk). So I guess this mapping in modo have been done at this time and has never been updated.
Best gaming experience too date, well to be fair i played it in 3D, 5.1 surround and with the MOVE controller :) Quick question do you still pump your enviroments through Autodesk Beast* like in killzone 2 to get nice baked lighting??
Autodesk needs to spend a dev cycle and work on the tools that allow you to edit normals and incorporate some of the ideas behind these scripts and give people some out of the box tools, so they can work around these issues without so much hack-a-dash...
Oooh I totally didn't think of using a hotkey. So you can perform actions with hotkeys that you can't perform though UI. Typical Autodesk non-sense. A little description for the tool would have helped tho. Mystery solved. Thanks !
The objects of the former scene wouldn't have the lightmap UVs so it would be useless. I don't know if autodesk has fixed this problem with RTT in the last versions of Max, but I think it should be improved because it's a important handicap in the workflow for videogames. Thanx anyway:)
I'm sure Autodesk are working hard on Viewport 2.0 (when actual fact it's more like Viewport 0.2 in its current state!) but time will tell. Log a sug, the more logged the faster Maya's new Viewport will be developed: http://autodesk.com/maya-sug
It's most probably because Autodesk are messing up their FBX export (like a broken record, huh?). that and OBJ is an old, limited format so you shouldn't rely on it much. Try Collada/DAE, it works better for me. have not tried Marmoset yet though.
Maybe run the Mudbox fbx file thru Autodesks free FBX Converter and output it to a version that Blender can handle. Haven't used Mudbox in 3 years, but use the free FBX Converter a lot, for troublesome fbx files to programs such as Unity and Unreal etc...
In the system tray login to the Autodesk Desktop App, it'll show program updates. Or you can download the latest update here: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/3ds-max/downloads/caas/downloads/content/3ds-max-201701-security-fix.html?v=2017
