Ok so this is driving me crazy I just cant figure it out at all, Iv searched everywhere and nothing. I cant be the only person to have had this problem.. :( Another issue im having is with the Z draw order in Mudbox, Any transparent areas drawn behind another shows as transparent.. I take it there is no way to control…
What Two Listen said - better to have some variety in the types of stuff you're doing, can worry about posing later. I really dig the textured effect on the lizard guy - is this in Painter or PS? It'd be really interesting to see a bunch timelapses of people's drawings from this Sketchbook forum and see how people approach…
that dreaded transition.. i hear ya gauss, you have more faith in me than i do. rad drawing steady HA ha! i had a roach run across my chest when i was sleeping one time, i can relate, i ninja kicked the fucking fan. i hate roaches, they suck.
Thanks, Ive looked at some refs and I see that I also need to separate the legs a bit more where they join the body. @Torch: Can you please draw where you'd add more lines on one of the images? It would be really helpful :) Because I am not sure at all where I'd divide the polys on and around the thighs.
I applaud you for this endeavor. It's something I need to do as well. I told myself I'd take more life drawing but unfortunately I've only gone to one class in the past few months. Life gets in the way sometimes. I'm sure this will all pay off for you. I already see improvement! Keep it up. :D
that's a nice sketch Francisco. What I would say is that you want to keep the focus on your dragon, so in the future I'd recommend contrasting your character more significantly from the rest of the scene-- right now it's easy to lose the dragon in the rest of the mountain, especially when those elements should be in the…
Just a quick menu screen i whipped up in an hour, this is just a quick prototype for a game i might be working on later on in the year (My game lol). The drawing of the woman isnt mine as it is just a prototype and she is just a stand in, the main character of the game will replace her, this was mainly to test the design,…
Blockout done (ready to be painted over as I can't draw 2D that well lol) and I'm currently reading some Gothic architecture books which are turning out to be good reads! (I shall no doubt post links for those who might be interested) Once I've taken notes and such, I shall probably be posting moodboards and concept art!
Click Joint. Attribute Editor -> Joint Labelling -> Other and you can type in whatever you want. Make sure to tick draw label. Dont think you can name an ik handle. But just use the text tool and parent it under the ik handle. Can also do like a constrain against the camera to act as a sprite.
Had the opportunity to do a little actual life drawing for the first time in a few years, and eesh... i'm r-r-rusty. Not that i was ever fantastic at it, but i think some more sessions are definitely warranted. The majority of the session was made up of relative quickies, like 3 min poses. Here's a handful of the more…
