Now it looks like this. And I dont like it, need to remake texture for more combined with Dota style, I think. This hammer it's a piece of rock with metal inside,but it looks bad. I'll try to do something with texture
I don't know anything about Dota, but the program runs well. Everything is responsive and the layout is nice. I like how the top of the program has certain classes that correspond to certain characters. Very nicely done!
umm. Starcraft Online Battle.NET. Warcraft3 TFT Dota allstar. CounterStrike. BattleField. There are many more games that came out 5 years ago that ARE still widely played today with much enthusiasm. Ya, besides wow. :)
Concept looks really nice but I'm not sure if all that small details would translate well into the Low resolution dota models. They may get lost or noisy when in-game, you should check it out definetely!
Well, I hope I will pack all the available polygons right. I think сhivalry limits are pretty fat, I'm also working in dota 2 workshop and there is a luxury if you have 500 tris limit.
Hey sorry for texting here i cant make a tread anyway ... I just made a dota 2 bone hook for pusge but it's complex and it had like 20000 triangles is there a way to reduce the triangles and import to game?
Thanks guys! It's been a huge learning time since I started doing dota 2 items haha(Bounty hunter dagger was my first ever lowpoly weapon). Starting to feel comfortable with the workflow now :)
eye swinging is great ! How you can you import that to dota? the swinging eye... regular baked animation? Just one thing, the bottom part of the thing he got on his right hand looks flat.
If you want a taste of new Hammer give the Dota 2 Workshop Tools Alpha a download. It might be a little slow and crashy for you but you'll be able to get an idea of some of the workflow improvements they've been working on.
So wait you can export effects from blender into Dota 2? How does that work? Particles are normally an engine based thing for games. Thanks for the links by the way.
