If the seam shows up in your occlusion map then it's probably an issue with not enough padding in your bake. I like to get around an 8 pixel edge padding in a 1024 texture. Marmoset has an issue rendering overlapping UV space correctly, so make sure you offset the UVs of one of the hands by 1 full square.
Doodled up some quick unreal prop ideas in sketchup whilst looking at some warhammer scenery Started working on a male basemesh from digmon style/proportioned characters :) Quick A3 observation of rapide http://images.xboxfrance.com/7/5024/artwork/zoom/5404.jpg done in pencil copic caio markers and ballpoint pen :)
back in the olden days it was common practice to make the head bigger whneyou had tinny texture maps, because you had to have enough to make it somewhat decent, nowdays theres plenty of pixels to go around, and sure i've seen games that use an entire 1024 for just a head.. in my opinion thats just mastabutory,
Hmm, tempted to buy a new graphic card, though can't really afford it these days, but my ATI Radeon HD 4800 is always crappying out when doing shaders. Thought about getting a nVidia GTX 460 1024 mb, for about £185. Just wish I could afford something better. :P
I downloaded your files and created your project but I did not get this error. I created the project with the "uncalibrated" profile and non of the checkboxes ticked, 100 resolution and textel desity at 1024. Are these roughly the same as yours? Trying to figure out if something in the base creator is doing this. Does it…
For reference: Head vs breast size I think is off. Your head should be bigger I feel. Notice how much more round the armpit area is where you have this bulged muscle. http://images4.fanpop.com/image/photos/18800000/Abercrombie-Fitch-abercrombie-and-fitch-18810184-1280-1024.jpg
Thanks man, really appreciated. This method could work if my rock wouldnt be so big i assume. As said above the problem is how big will the map be? A whole map for the whole rock would be extremely blurry at 1024 but could be "rescued" by the tiling detail...i ve to try it out to see what works best
Hey guys, Stumbled upon this thread awhile back... just thought I'd mention that NCIX here in Vancouver has this thing on special for $116 Can and they ship. Just bought mine today and am monkeying around with setting it up! http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=51666&vpn=45-241-026&manufacture=ERGOTRON
Wow! The improvement from last year is pretty awesome to see xD. I would suggest adding a gradient up your tree btw, to help ground it. Also, I notice your tree texture is kinda big, you probably only needed 256 x 1024 - for future reference, if you wanted to save time!
Vassago i have the same machine like you and run it full screen 1280+1024 with full settings no problem. what slows down is the AA. which i have disable and have it enable thru the nvidia settings runs fine. and i like the game. the editor is awesome and takes more memory thatn the game. lulz
