If you're on PS 2017, that would probably cause this. Use PS 2015, 2014, CS6, CS5, or CS4. If it still persists afterward, my recommendation would be to install the Suite to a new folder - like *\Quixel SUITE 2.2\ instead of the default.
0 equals 4, and 1 equals infinity, and the mapping is not linear, its mapped so that 0.5 looks roughly halfway between 4 and infinity. If you want to know the math: horizontal is gloss value, vertical is blinn-phong exponent
You can query what tool you are using toolmode.commandmode toolmode.commandmode -- I am swapping here. #movetoolmode.commandmode#Rotatetoolmode.commandmode#nuscaletoolmode.commandmode#select More info here: http://help.autodesk.com/view/3DSMAX/2015/ENU/index.html?guid=__files_GUID_408F43DA_6C99_4CF5_96D5_78836A5DCB02_htm
Maybe you have already seen this but it really is a great source for how to create real-time hair if you haven't: http://www.3dartistonline.com/news/2015/04/how-do-i-create-real-time-hair-for-games/
Also, if anyone says that I should just use the Dota 2 shader for 3DS Max, I've tried and I've had just as hard of a time getting it to work with Max 2015. My items disappear when the texture is applied. :[
Oh be sure to apply a checkerboard pattern to your mesh to ensure distortion is kept to a minimum before you scale everything down to fit in the UV space. Something like this as well: https://threepencils.files.wordpress.com/2015/02/uv-map-template.png
Liquefy version look a bit like Kevin Spacey lol, maybe you could use him as a reference https://static.boredpanda.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/more-class-past-photos-vintage-221__700.jpg
Big competitions that are widely recognized couldn't hurt. Hopefully you don't have to rush to finish it in time. If it looks good, use it anyway. Gonna do the same with my Entry for Comicon 2015. Ps. +1 for Temple Knight & Dragoner.
And what about the Anisotropy map? It's giving me BLACK = No Anisotropy, when it should be 0.5 I think. It would be nice in the wiki to have a section where all the outputed maps are explained and how to use them. Would be really useful!
True, it doesn't happen with guns. Instead, it usually happens with bombs. In their 25 year campaign, the IRA killed 115 people in Britain and wounded 2134 more, despite Britain's much stricter laws governing firearms. Numbers via wikipedia.
