There are few more thing that matter . Substance Painter as any of modern 3d mesh painting soft does slightly more blurry textures because they don't work in integer texture space math. Even if you work in twice of target resolution initially . People used special one pixel brushes and pixel art style to do textures ones.…
http://wiki.polycount.com/wiki/Polycount I go there and the links on the left and the background loads but theres no links to 3D modeling and texturing guides and info anymore. Instead in the centre of the page I get the attached wall of text. Sorry but there doesn't seem to be a forum section for this xD <<<<<<<QuickBooks…
First off... YAY! 200 pages and still going strong! Secondly.. 'nother update to Gears of Time. - added another set of cogs - moved some other cogs / changed rotation speeds - swapped numbers for roman numerals on clock - animated roman numberals on clock - added some test weapon / health / shield / adrenaline pickups…
The final project of this semester was focused on recreating an environment from reference, of which I chose a part of the subway environment from Stray. Unlike my previous project related to an environment, there was a clear number of things to do and guidelines for how to set up the scene. The sheer number of items to…
Hi there! I've never made a blog post before.. but I wanted to keep going on this project and be consistent with it. I'm posting this here for my own sake but also a way to be more involved in our industry community, learn new techniques, and hear other artists' perspective or advice, if you're so inclined to give it 😁 I…
Hi, The installation procedure changed. Here is some sort of troubleshooting guide. Any of these (in any order) might solve the issue. But this is what I ended up with; The big idea is to be able to create a large number of assets with just a…
Pivot snapping doesn't seem to work very well. I personally just don't use it. I always use snaps to align a vertex to the grid. If you want to precisely place your pivot try using numeric entry. Right click on the move tool to bring up the numeric entry box and type some numbers in.
Hi! Perhaps I should have kept it more digestible, like: 'With an high to lowpoly approach, I would closer match the highpoly and improve the highpolys edges/shading'. But as so often with this 3D stuff, I find there's not an 'one and only way', but different options that can be combined based on the situation. And when…
