Just gonna echo that the "cartridges" for this thing are a terrible thing and you shouldn't even consider buying one because of that. It's purely so they can keep extracting money from you and completely goes against the open, diy attitude of the 3D printing movement!
I don't know if this is worth taking the time to do, but stairs are rarely, if ever, straight up and down. The nosing (top edge) usually sticks out an inch farther than the bottom: http://www.builderbill-diy-help.com/image-files/st-reo.gif
I finished this package last weekend and it was accepted for the asset store this week. I made a video showing off more of the individual assets and an updated walk-through. [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zjTDfWW9jT8"]DIY Cave Environment - Assets Preview and Walkthrough - YouTube[/ame]
I would say ''cheapest'' alternative to any 3D content creation/ Game Engine package. Honestly, this looks like a very flexible and well-ploshed creation game. Probably the best ''DIY'' title we'll get since the little big planet games.
Holy crap, biggest recap ever! Everyone must have time on their hands this week. Duncan - Happy it turned out so bad ass, not that it wouldn't have :) Dii - unreal concepts and ideas as usual Alecmoody - *slow clap* Bigups-sundown for Other Brothers! Best of luck with kickstart.
[Posted May 2015] Started working on this yesterday. My first time really using zbrush for detailing. I tried something similar with mudbox quite a while ago and it didn't go too well. I 'm fairly happy with the results this time. I'd point out that only the blade has been detailed at the moment. The handle and hilt only…
I think they probably use cross-polarization for the specular. EDIT: oops I can't read, sorry :( Hopefully they'll go into depth a bit more when megascans is released. I'd really like to construct a DIY rig to produce my own (crappy) megascans.
If you already have a nice mic, you can try to just isolate the mic from the keyboard noise, something like this might work well enough http://blog.usedavesvoice.com/2011/08/20/diy-mic-gobo-shield-mudguard-for-10-bucks-at-walmart/
Well done for finding a place, and best of luck in the new job. Top tip, never rent always buy the cheapest property around, I had a look and around at the low end and this needs some DIY. http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-45931324.html
dii: yup, it sure does. Now i have actually started to do some work on the texture, even though i mostly fiddled around with the shader. I might have to go back and resculpt the horns a bit, depending on how it turns out after texturing.
