I always recommend it on these threads. The Styx bridge plugin is an absolute godsend between Max/Maya/ZB. It's only $5 and completely eradicates all the arsing about with scale between packages. Click in and out. Perfect scale every time. It essentially makes working between packages a single seamless environment.
Well I agree with what others said about the proportions needing to be re-worked. The neck does look slightly too long. The way her breasts are coming off of the collar bone isnt quite right, looks like theres too much of a dip. Bridge of the nose wayy to thin.
Polycount is a community that is designed to get crits and suggustions on your work from other people, also it is a bridge that connects the high end Game studio employees to low end people who wish to enter in to gaming world, 3d modeling world and join people who love graphics designing as a hobby.
I made this lil' dude recently (more here on artstation). I've also started streaming my rust work as way to bridge a gap in speaking to those who enjoy my work and making long tutorials. If hanging out and talking art and whatever else is your thing then you're more than welcome! Art_of_Pilgrim - Twitch
I actually have some pretty fun ideas for Bowser and Peach specifically but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. :) And if I can be bothered. What I have in mind for Bowser is pretty funny, If I don't end up doing the models I'll at least draw something, heh. Anyways, back to work.
That probably depends on the applications, if they are set up to take advantage of bridged video cards or not. If not, you'll only be using one. Or if you have a monitor for each It might be that newer video cards and drivers will automatically do it for the application without the need for the app to be built to take…
Another recommendation from me - wouldn't want to to use Max without it. Thanks for adding align-shells-by-group, as if you'd read my mind ;) I do agree with the packing comment by Musashidan, haven't tried the new packer though. A bridge to IPackThat would probably also be appreciated (though I have yet to use it myself).
Do you guys / girls ever hit that wall though, where you have an idea in your head, but trying to put it on to paper (or 3d for that matter) falls short? I think if I could bridge the cap between 3d and 2d, that may fix the issue. Any helpful tips / tricks / opinions on something that could help this?
That would be the case i thought he meant that there is a polygon, but no intersecting egdes. If there is no polygon connect doesn´t work thats right.that is also the case for the cut tool.So you either have to bridge it or select the open boarder(Border sub-selection mode) and hit Cap. Or Like Ghostscape said you can use…
the plan is to have a path a character can explore that goes from the castle courtyard up to a bridge over a waterfall that you can see the castle from. so ground level detail along the path is important. i also want to do some helicopter style fly overs to show off the statues and completeness of the castle and stuff.
