I was looking through the new 2.68 features and I saw this: A small little tool that will make capping cylinders and all sorts of other stuff way easier! :)
Max has out-of-the-box shortcuts for all the basic functions. They take no longer to learn than Blender's. Because you haven't taken that time is not the fault of the software.

FBX was a nightmare, but it's high time the import/export was fixed. I actually abandoned it all together when trying to work from Maya-Blender and vice versa.
