Hehe, I feel dumb now. I thought that image was a concept painting. I noticed the mirroring, but I just figured you cut and pasted. The scene looks pretty cool. I think you could still punch up the details more on the textures.
Shape: Dude, that's totally rockin! When I saw the latest image, at first glance I thought "Awesome hi-poly... I want to see the lo-poly now." But then after a few more milliseconds I realized that is the low poly. Nice job on the maps!
TGZ - that ridged chestplate and sternum area is the anchor for the massive muscle necessary to pull those wings down, and give the creature lift. I had to do something similar with this (albeit much simplified): http://www.gmanx.com/image-files/BondBat%20SkG.jpg lookin' mighty fine tho'.
Decided to finally give that high poly lovin' a real shot. Didn't want to get into a human form yet so took this piggy. The concept is not mine. I got the image for an art test for an animation studio in Luxembourg a couple of years ago but [understatement]kind of[/understatement] messed up

Thanks guys. Actually its for a game, the animation was made sort of as a proof-of-concept, and because it looked way too friendly in the static pose, I thought I had screwed up. But I'm pretty happy with the way he looks snarling. ferg, I'm with johny, love that third image!
After practicing a bit, I couldn't resist remaking this sucker again (sorry). Gargoyle 2006 (Quake4) here we come. 3000 triangles (and yes I am getting better at modeling penis, i was quickly able to do his glans under there. yep ) (EDIT: Fixed image)
