The thing is, when I used the body to generate a normalmap, the lowpoly version's hands were perfect size for Doom 3's skeleton. Either way, no need to keep them that small now, you're right.
yeah seems cool aniceto, hope to see the final .. here is an old character I try to finish as a portfolio piece.. not sure of the colors.. (he will hold a duck in the left hand; don't know raw or cooked yet ^^)
hey Gzero: for the metal, are you underlaying some reference pic for texture and grit, or did you hand paint it all? im about to start some metal-areas on my char and just wondering how to do it.
Gavimage: That is awsome! Is he just a head or is their going to be a body too? Vahl: Nice. I think the hands details (ex: tendons) could come out a bit more though. Also, how'd you make that fireball?
A character from one of my favorite books. Hard to find reference of a malamute wearing a Prussian military outfit with prosthetic hands. Lots of work to be done. Major cool points to anyone that knows where this is from btw.
Davision that looks wicked in-game. Spent more time on this guy. Debating whether or not to shorten his legs, but I like him kind of freakishly tall. Still need to refine certain areas like his hands.
Kite: The hands are looking great, have to agree with you about some of the wrinkles, mostly the ones on the last three nuckles. East: Awesome work on the jacket. Can't wait to see the rest of the character done up in zbrush.
jimiyo: you should give him an own thread! but for this i can say you should take a closer look at your arm muscles ref .. they look atm wrong the legs on the other hand looking cool
here is an update on my badrach character, the polycount really turned out lower than i expected it to be. still need to model the hands and do lots of tweeking. (maybe also add some arrows.) crits and comments welcome!
Is that 100% hand painted, MoP? Awesome start, ether way. Per that's f'n PIMP, just like you. Rota626, that's looking damn good. Bitmap, if you were a welder, I'd have to fire you for those beads
