@BohSheh the video turned out nice! Good job on it and the item! I finished my first workshop item today thanks to a lot of polycounters of this thread who were patient with me and answered all my questions! It is a weapon for void. I hope you like it :).
hey guys here is my first workshop submission. i hope at least somebody likes it :o The Scattered Prince : http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=189012444 and ye! thx to all polycounters that do tutorials and help! you guys do a great job :poly142:
I must be blind - don't see any tagging option like the polycount contest when you upload / submit, and you can't modify tags of your imported items - the tags are set when you import them. The only tags you can modify are collections?
Hey guys, sorry if this topic has been covered (i couldnt fint it). My question is about the polycount budget and specially about the lycantrophe weapon, it says lod0 must be 600, but original one is more than 800, it cannot even be exported into the game. Is this an error? Thanks!
There's a .vmt command that makes them double sided though, and it is activated on certain heroes like Storm Spirit. Most heroes don't have it activated though so you should just assume you'll need to copy the faces and flip them yourself when budgeting the polycount.
@Konras: Best loading screen ever, also nice set :) @Thnk: very solid design, i like a slighly evil Puck. I don't know how much is the polycount, but looks like you'll have to do some tricks for some of those smaller elements.
Whoa, Whoa, that budget. Enchantress' base model is 6,600 tri polys! That means my helmet is gonna have to shrink to less than 400 tris and I can't add anything else! Checking the polycounts, Enchantress with my helmet barely scratches the budget limit and is at 6,920 polys.
Nobody wants to share their information? Well I've continued working on the LOD_1 (ingame) model. It's finially Finished and exactly 3000 tri's. I think it looks pretty good for it's polycount, lets hope the animations will work correctly. Now I just need to finish the texture and test it in the model viewer.
I just finished up some wings for my old Doom set I made for the DOTA 2 Polycount contest: I'm working on making this a complete set. I still need to design the Bracers and Tail. hey Neox: that hammer is pretty bad ass, very well done.
Hi Polycount! My first Dota2 weapon has been finalized on the store. This was created for the Dota2 August competition. Hope you all like it. You can find the workshop post here and leave a vote if you like the item :) : http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=304389166&searchtext=
