I agree iRay is pretty much MentalRay dumbed down and can get you some good results, if you have the hardware and the time. It solves two main problems, not knowing when it will finish and not knowing what settings to tweak. It still takes about the same time to process quality renders but you save the time you waste…
err genetics, metabolism and age... you're also like what 14-15 with parents who are paper thin? I had heavy parents but I was pretty active because I didn't want to turn out that way. That was until 24-25 when I started riding the desk. That's about the same time the weight started to pack on. My activity dropped off, my…
To OP: It would help if you could explain your exact issues with the card you own/ed. Nvidia screwed up on their 260.xx series drivers but has already fixed alot of the issues they were causing with viewport bugs. This is a little bit of an exaggeration. O_o I've run SLI for a year now and the only problem I've had was one…
The bricks on the lower left column seams to have a bleached look to me - the contrast from light to dark, the tiling on the tower is the midground are the ones i was referring to. It's not majorly but the brick pattern is standing out for me, maybe a few smaller/split blocks in place of some of the blocks might help abit.…
Ok some basic points about the website/layout of things 1. Put your full name at the top and your title 2. If you're selling yourself as an environment artist make sure the first thing people see when they come to your portfolio is environment art, right now that bird is front and center and that's going to throw off…
Haha, you know that if the powers that be ever gave me that power it would be a dark dark day for PC. Soon I would be replacing avatars with testicle pics and inserting fine print into every post submission allowing me to sell your work.
Do you get the same results when rendering to a texture with dimensions as power of 2? I see that the ones you've put up are 1600x1600. I've never not done power of 2s, so do not know if Max doesn't like that.
the tactical dreadnaught (AKA: Terminator) armour, that he is encased in, is fully powered, and very much capable of inhuman feats of strength, and control, while at the same time not being at all slow or sluggish. the thing is powered by a nuclear fusion reactor btw.
The first issue I see is that the 2600k isn't compatible with the motherboard you picked. The X58 is a LGA 1366 socket, while the 2600 is an LGA 1155 (Sandybridge). While there are 1366 socket i7s, they're a generation before Sandybridge (i7 9xx series CPUs). You want a mobo with either a P67 or Z68 chipset (preferably the…
Awesome help guys. Thought I'd throw in my knowledge on the subject too. Power of 2 images sizes in general is a good idea, though not really mandatory any more (with stipulations to older hardware, which you probably wont target anyway.) Square is debatable, but often a good rule to follow also. On today's hardware…
