selvesteHE: Thanks for the feedback! I agree and definitely plan to do a variety of timed studies. I think it's smart practice to do both quick sketches and longer studies. A pirate logo I did for a friends bar league team, a start of a ship, and a value sketch of some sort of base of operations:
yeah I understand how that could be confusing. my answers were trying to say that weapon designs could be team specific. but that directly using team LOGOs or team colors wouldnt be allowed. I've since removed any reference to this as it seems people are taking that to mean the weapons have to be team agnostic.
Great work! For some reason I missed the demo reel button the first time as well. Maybe because it looks a little like a background graphic or a header-logo thing. Also, on your resume it says "Currently enrolled in a BFA in production animation program" for both Digipen and Central Lakes College.
I for one already have my concept chosen (knowing about the comp a week in advance will do that, hehehe), and it most likely won't fit into any concept you guys come up with. The only thing I'd be willing to implement is *possibly* a small logo. I think a team theme is overdoing it.
Cars often use mirrored UVs since they're symmetrical. Logos can be placed with separate decals (a floating quad with alpha-test or -blend). Google Images search for "car texture" will show you examples of other UV layouts. http://www.google.com/images?hl=en&q=car+texture
Looks pretty cool. I think the trailer could've gone without the long beginning of text telling us about what Indiana has done previously. Otherwise, should be fun, the lucasfilm logo had me going 'awwwwwww' then the "steven spielberg film" text had me going "YAYYYYY".
I doubt medieval sawmills were churning out perfectly straight lumber. Looking at the thing from a distance, I think some slight variations on both the lumber and the cabin logs would add believability. About the cabin logs, most cabin-builders remove the bark to prevent rotting. Also it helps keep out a certain type of…
Looking at a forum, clicking the green arrow to "go to last post" on the right hand side under the user name. If you are logged in and perform this, it goes to the last post of that thread. If you are logged out and perform this same operation, it just goes to the top of the page of that thread. So typically, if you are…
~ Would be totally epic if everyone were tagged in that photo. Had a great drunk discussion about the differences between GA and PC, and Teck had an epiphany and realised that the true difference is the amount of ballsack and penis that is sculpted. But what the fuck was this about? Cody & Empty! You guys got the GA logo…
Just a little tid bit that is actually incredibly useful when im doing freelance stuff. If making logos or tons of assets or concepts, never present it to the client all crammed to gether on a single page it makes it seem like a fraction of the work that you actually did. Split them out into seperate images.
