Jack: Try tracing a circle on your tablet, and then you'll notice. I use a 4:3 tablet both at home & at work, but both 16:10 monitors...so Ive gotten used to it. That said, I'll be budgeting for this new tablet anyway.
I stopped watching that show when they had video of an animator getting up to act out a motion to understand the timing better and called that motion capture. edit ah.. 4:16 this is the show that I saw that made me go wtf.
Unless I'm misunderstanding; you can achieve the same thing (having the grid at increments of 2/4/8/16/32/etc) by setting preferences > input> workplane > plane and grid increments to 10, 25, 50 with your unit system set to game units.
It looks like they took down all of Wartech's guns, but they've got this up: http://www.forender.org/market.html?page=shop.product_details&flypage=vehicle.tpl&product_id=291&category_id=16 Which game is this from? I'm assuming Battlefield BC2 but I didn't play enough of it to recognize it.
Yeah, when doing sub-d work on curved/rounded elements like this cylinder, it's always best to start with a LOT of edges. This will help support that sort of detail without pinching/smoothing artifacts :) right now you've got 16 sided cylinder, try it with 48!
I use tif because it supports 16 bits per channel, and you should too. If the alpha channel bothers you, you can get rid of it in Photoshop or whatever, but tif supports an alpha channel that's not transparency so you don't really need to do that.
I've been rewatching the three part walkthrough over and over and I had to find the song that plays during the dragon fight. [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpOV3Bx_3F4&feature=channel_video_title&fmt=16"]Skyrim soundtrack - combat (4) HD - YouTube[/ame]
Great tool guys! I've been wanting to get around to making one myself. Any chance it that it could support different output file formats, (TIF)? I'd love to use it, but without the ability to get 16 bit output, I'm afraid I can't.
I think you're also going to have to buy a sofa and a large room for a screen that big :D I have a friend who used to use a stupidly big monitor in a closet sized room. But damn 16 GB, does it get much better than that.

:poly122: not me I suck :poly142: Here's stuff I can show, that's not related to the current project :P 4 bit (16 color palettes) not sure why the alphas are messed up, I'll have to fix that when I get home.
