Do the 2 maps look the same ? Probably not ^^ Maybe you have some wrong color profile in photoshop or proof colors on ? (ctrl+Y) -

As is the solution to most things in Maya, try deleting the history :P Also you can change how the normal maps are baked in xNormal to be Y + or -. -

The software uses X+, Y+, Z+, but yes I've tried every combination of -'s and +'s in there, as well as flipping individual islands as a long shot. -

X, Y, Z, and even number keys help it also helps to split the viewports to display other views, yes you can do that -

bigger band-aid on his chest please, for cartoon y characters you have to have cartoon sized details or it looks a little off. -

Hey Ace sorry cant be of much further help, maybe try making the length formula back up for the vector? so: sqrt(x^2, y^2, z^2)
