Been lurking the noob challenge threads, you are all an inspiration so keep it up! I haven't done much 3D as of late so I need to get back on it. I'm considering joining in this round, so I'm picking the following two concepts:
Break from the anatomy for a bit and continued on my hotdog man. Still need to really tighten up a lot of things , especially the hotdog. The skin and cloth feels pretty decent to me so far. Looking at a lot of stuff Gavin and Xavier did for inspiration.
I wouldnt go as far as to say Id create different textured parts. Just high poly parts that can be adapted. Ill just stick to doing it with scopes and accessories and less the actual gun. That last image is very inspirational, what is it based off of?
Thanks for taking the time to play! The controls are somewhat inspired by Miami Hotline, damn that games awesome :) But yeah, it takes a while to get into.. I will add animations to the characters later on, have just been holding it off since I think it's so boring :D
Eric already put the wiki link here, but I wanted to point out two threads that have tons of info similar to what you asked: What has the games industry been like for you? Getting into the Game Industry (Inspiration of a different kind)
One of the recent practice work I've done for checking Fusion360 to Painter workflow. So I've made drone greatly inspired by "Cyberpunk 2077" and Deus Ex franchises. Some more pics here and Marmoset Viewer stuff: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/Bmkxgl
I am in love with this thread right now. I'm inspired and I want to brush up my texture skills now too. I hope you don't mind if I follow suit with a similar project. :) Well done BTW the lighting is sex.
That is great. Also it's the first time i ever saw just dragging a spline in ue4 and creates tileable props... That is awesome and very informative..!Also how many textures do you have for that awesome looking vehicle? :open_mouth: Great work and very inspirational :)
The hair is looking smexy, but it does look very idealized. I think it's because it looks a little flat (though I'm sure with a good hair shader this won't be an issue anymmore). You've re-inspired me to try my hand at character art again!
That article on Motivation makes it clear that it helps to approach this as a professional, not waiting to become inspired, but rather tackling the task head-first, one step at a time. Don't let procrastination rule you. Act like a professional, and work regardless of motivation. Do you want this or not?
