Nice work so far, i'm working on the same concept art atm ^^ I'll take a seat here ;) Gonna give a try to that substance suite, it seems to give some magical power texturing :D
They're going to have to pull some crazy script magic to actually make this decent, because the trailer did absolutely nothing to make me want to see this. Pretty nice CG on the orc faces, though.
Did my tablet PC just magically transform into a Cintiq?... hmm... maybe if I could clone the output screen info from my PC to my tablet then use this to send input to my PC...
Maya hot boxes. it's like magic. Oh and the material editor nodes. I like visual stuff when it comes to setting up things. I think that's why I learned UE3 so quickly.
Shit might be too strong a word, I found it lacking compared to what Maya has though (which is magic) . Perhaps I should revisit - you two know what you're talking about.
He has quite a few but his biggest weakness's aren't really grounded in reality so it often doesn't come across well in the movies. Magic being one of the biggest ones and Red Sun Radiation.
Freehand is on for those brushes, yes. And lazymouse isnt on. Guess I'm supposed to just do really slow strokes or something... and if you're a fantastic artist like orb everything works better for you magically =P
Lots of valuable informations here, just for a curiosity of mine, are VFX works ( explosions, natural effects, magic etc. ) outsourced too ? Or companies prefers to have in house FX Artists due to the technical aspect of the job ?
