Two thoughts: * Assume the game will always be under heavy bloom and down tone the water material to work under those constraints. * Apply some self illumination to the objects to localize the glow. Then tone down the bloom. Cheers!
Problem is i`m moving country so i`m selling my PC locally and will need to buy new again. So thought i`d go for whats currently an up to date decent spec.
And try to avoid to work with local characters / rigs. Its much more comfortable to work with referenced models because if you need to do changes to the model they would instantly effect all scenes in which the character is used.
Well, your main problem seems to be tied to this dll in this folder. C:\Users\mitviz\AppData\Local\Temp\311aaumb.dll Not that I have any clue what that dll is about, as google is 100% useless when it comes to that.
That is weird. Config, Content, Editor Resources, Extras, Localization, Shaders, Stats. You should be able to see all of those folders in Engine folder. Make a search for baselightmass in your computer and see where it shows up.
A local radio station interviewed me about the project, so if you wanted to know a little more about it detail (and listen to my monotone voice for 30 mins) click here! https://soundcloud.com/thecreativehabit/tylerrhodes
@Cathodeus @swordslayer All great to hear. Looking forward to updates. As for the 3-axis constraint, it's no big deal. As you said, it can just be done with local scale directly. I was talking about manipulating the depth of the cutter.
Just to clarify--yes, you can definitely start with a new mesh and make tileable textures to go on the high poly object. There's no rule saying you must bake a localized normal map for every game object.
Oh ok. I just tried it and it's not a 100% fix, more like 85%, but if you change your gizmo to local ( Hold Alt > Right-click ) and play with your camera a bit it will focus the gizmo onto the vert.
Sorry not for edit poly. You'll need a script. There's a bunch of INI files in: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\2014 - 64bit\ You can open them up and change some defaults around.
