Hello all. I am finally jumping into this contest after a focus on working out my scope as to not break my mind. The Concrete Throne is my idea of a ruinous building/room in which concrete and rebar collapsed forming a sort of seat which has been fashioned into a chair. The design is inspired by apocalyptic games like The…
For a while now I have been working on a saloon interior that is inspired by the Red Dead series. I am going for a bit of a high end saloon and I still have loads of work left to do. With this project, I really wanted to dive into the PBR workflow and UE4. Probably around 60 % of the textures in here have place holder…
I do remember the name but confess I never looked at the software. Seems heavily inspired by the once fancy Nendo/Mirai. Not sure that's the modelling paradigm I'd still pick nowadays. Remember modelling heads starting from a box a la Bay Raitt's Gollum? ;)
@nyx702 Hmm... yea I think I'll look into more local stuff @blankslatejoe WOW awesome post. What you said is actually kind of inspiring. Can't wait until I get to that point where I go to conventions and see "old friends"

yeah im making rubble and newspapers to put on the ground there. thats my main issue is populating the ground hehe. yes i have half life 2 and COD 4 those two games along with dark sector really inspired me to create these scenes.
I'm not expert but I found racer445's tut deeply inspiring: http://cg.tutsplus.com/articles/news/how-to-hand-paint-convincing-metal-textures/ Also the handle needs more love, check some refs. Keep on the good work and improve it to became best :)
Sorry to sort of steal your thread, but Ive been wanting to make some tiles but I never got around to it. When I saw this thread it inspired me to actually do it. And I just wanted your guys opinion and crits on mine so far:
Okay Julia, here is what I'm working on this month. The main ref I'm using is the one in the top right corner. Since I'm using my own dog as my main inspiration, I'll be using his coat coloring and his fluffy tail in the sculpt.
