Make a thread in the 3D Showcase section, embedding your images in the post, and ask for critique. That's the best way to get good feedback on your artwork. Limiting your viewer's responses will not help you as much, since you don't know what improvements are actually needed, so your questions will be limited.
@Ezra I think the work looks good. Good characters, nice texturing, and good animation. I think it might be too general. Like it looks like you can do a little of everything, but it doesn't showcase you in one particular area. Overall though I think it looks good.
Same here, can't wait to see more assets! The variation in the scene is very interesting despite the fact that the scene is low poly. Very good job. The only thing i don't understand much is the position of the statue in the scene. but i guess its more a showcase rather than a finished stuff.
hey cindy-you may find better luck if you used the image link rather than attaching. additionally, despite having very competitive assets in your site, you have chosen a fairly lackluster image. maybe try linking more of the images that showcase the different angles of the character.
@Varoun I highly encourage you, no matter how you feel about the piece confidence wise, just post it to 3D Art Showcase. Having little confidence in a piece is something WE want to help you with, and we can't help if we can't see what you're wanting to share.
sweet materials! Looking forward to see the final :) Also, a pretty weird question maby, but could you tell us how you achieved those clean high poly renders? Is it just somekind of clayrender or sumthing? I have a pretty hard time showcasing stuff like that. Good job on this!
New dev diary video showcasing the SMART movement system. It's very cool. http://www.brinkthegame.com/media/videos/?id=76 Also it features Aubrey, the most well-spoken game designer you will ever find, also a parkour-ist, and generally all-round top guy. TASTE THE MAGIC!
Looks good so far, it could probably use a larger disparity between dark and light/skin and materials, atm it's almost 50/50. You'll also get more critiques if you post 3d work in the 3d side of the forums. 3D Art Showcase Good luck going forward! :)
Here are a few quick thoughts: -- Pose your characters, it helps sell them being "alive". -- Have some close up shots of parts that really look solid/have a lot of detail worth showcasing (faces, detailed chest armor, cool guns, etc) -- Simple turntables of the characters posed.
Yes! I'll have to try n get his email somehow XD but I've already started modelling though, so maybe i'll probably ask if I can have permission to use it as a portfolio/showcase piece. I'm so sorry >_< , but I dont understand what this sentence means :
