Hi looprix! Please have a look at the wikipage for DDO, it should contain most things to get started with DDO! http://quixel.se/usermanual/quixelsuite/doku.php?id=ddointro Let me know if you have any questions the wiki can not answer!
Thanks for replying Eric, unfortunately the solutions you provided did not fix the issue. Another bit of information about the problem is that 3do does launch but with a photoshop error 'system_ComObject does not contain a definition for 'doJavaScript'. Other than that Ndo and Ddo do not launch
Actually, don't download the torrent! http://activepolitic.com:82/Outside_News/6057.html It looks like the AT&T RAR file contains a trojan. Thankfully I only opened the Battlefield Heroes database and my computer is locked down rather tight. It figures.
There is Unity3D learning project just about that. Google it and you should be good to go. It should contain asset postprocessors as well. :) There is some avatar research forum on unity forums as well. here on polycount I remember excellent example of avatar system as well.
Why don't you start with something simpler , just a simple head(without features) and neck maybe shoulder -> learn proportion and big shape Check post below, it contain some useful reference : http://polycount.com/discussion/comment/2609621#Comment_2609621
I am intrigued. This looks pretty sweet so far. I'm getting a bit of a ringworld vibe with the self contained living spaces thing too. That sort of theme plus the way Blomkamp likes dealing with societal issues could be pretty cool.
The macro contains a lot of nodes and will build for a long time going up to about 150% before completing, I have encountered the bug that causes the terrain not to show only once and I believe it to be a world machine bug rather than a problem with the macro.
Looks like the texel density is too low on the phone box. Also, remember the normal map doesn't contain depth information, only normal direction. A shallow detail with a fat bevel will show up better than a deep detail with tight edges.
I have a question concerning shortcuts, too - Is it posible to switch different shortcut layouts with a click of a button ? For instance, the first layout will contain all the editible poly functions , while the second one will be for polyboost commands, and the switch is as easy as tabbing CTRL + L
well there's a universal joy to be found in destroying containers of liquid; from simply smashing a bottle or can manually, or shooting cheap cans of soda with various calibers of ammunition. haven't ever cut one "in twain" with a sword yet, i bet it would be fun
