@Dado - Thanks. I made an adjustment :) Here is my finished low poly mesh. 5870 Tris I am still working on the high res, and should finish soon. UVs will be done shortly after. I really like these speed modeling challenges. I'm learning alot! Final submission coming soon...
2 weeks, 5 days a week, 8 hours a day. per model. is 80 hours. you're offering to pay $500 for 80 hours work, that's $6.25 per hour. that's less than minimum wage. just sayin' remember that when you pay peanuts, you'll more often than not, get monkeys.
I guess nobody missed that Vertex 3 dropped this morning. As promised, my breakdown of Brick Block is there and can be found on page 170. Unfortunately, Chrome recently stopped supporting the Unity Web Plugin. It still works in Firefox though. If I have time after my current project, I'll port it to WebGL
Its not just you. I got a small Bamboo CTH-470 for 100$ and i feel slightly ripped off.. but meh its to late to look back Recommending this lil alternative. Got it for my friend and its pretty great. Its big and the surface feels better drawing or Zbrushing with his over mine.
I've been hands-on with both versions and while the iPad is obviously preferable, the game's development started on the iPhone so when the iPhone version drops in April it's still not a bad idea. Most people don't have 500 dollars to drop on a new tech gadget, not with the kind of money already spent on tech around here :)
I've paid 500 for art classes before. Most classes with decent instructors cost more than that. If you look at it like that, it's really reasonable pricing. I'll probably get a subscription. Once you watch an instructional dvd, do you really wanna watch it again? Usually just absorb the knowledge and move on.
slow compared to what?! ;) Thems 5.0's almost go toe to toe with C6's (in a straight line) and go very toe to toe with M3's on the track! I'd say ford should be quite proud of themselves on that one... Guy at work got one...makes my 2009 GT jealous as hell
You can use the crappy Maya 3d paint clone stamp to clean up the seams as a final pass, make sure it is the last thing you do to the texture as it paints directly on the .tga. I believe this feature was added to Maya 5.0 I have used it for low poly work and it was a huge time saver.
I have a pretty good rig . GTX 580, i7 950 processor, 12 GB memory But my seagate 1 TB hard drive lets me down. Can I get some feedback on what Hard Drives are good for loading times, Bootup. But also just practically good for gaming . Price range not a problem but Not over say $600 thank you
hey, I've got a realy low-poly character-(500) it can be a few more triangles if needed around the shoulders but the way it is now as you can see the shoulders deform like sh#t! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Maybe the mesh isn't right? Im using 3d max 7 with a biped and envelopes applied and I'm getting nowhere…
