I wound up having Vista (sp1) on my new machine. I'm not overly demanding, but max 2009, PS, xnormal, unreal ed and zb have been fine -- that's all I can speak to though.
i don't know... i actually prefer console aiming. lots better at it than with the mouse and keyboard. 007... only way to play was no radar and one-shot kills. that gets you aiming pretty well. heh.

I am cloning bolts out and the clone base number is coming out 002. I would like to change it to come out as 02. Is there a way to change this in max and not go into the INI file? also trying to get around the extra step of going through the rename tool.
Hey, I was wondering what the trick was to get good results using Maya 2009's UV relax tool. The newer versions of Max have a very nice relax tool and I'd like similar results with Maya somehow. Anyone know what I'm talking about?
are people still using this script by andy oakley as I used to find it very uselful. I could n't get the latest version(3.0) to work in max 2010 though. I just want to copy and paste/rotate uv's on a per poly basis. version 0.9 works but is a bit broken

Squashed how so? From Copywrite issues? I helped work on a 007 mod for Half Life 2, and it never had any issues. It was even published in Game Informer like 4-5 years ago.
