The model could be as large as you want if the work is ok, remeber, the high level of detail is for the local map, a lower polygon model is for the game with the skin with high details on it Just try it!

Try this: Exit 3ds Max. Rename this folder: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\2015 - 64bit Start 3ds Max. If that doesn't work, then you'll need to re-install the product.
I looked into this a couple years ago, and Hauppauge boxes were all the rage, probably still are. http://www.hauppauge.com/ Fraps works good up to a point, but only works locally and strains the CPU while it's at it.
I really like how you captured the muscle mass with such few polys. The exaggeration comes through clearly still. Those pants are shaded weird, though. It's like they're ignoring the local lightin.
Thanks guys! Exactly what I needed. With the local area dynamically lit, I could chop down the terrain lightmap resolution from 16 to 4 and get massively reduced baking times!

peris you really dont use the reference coord system? I switch between view and local quite often, and occasionally use screen and parent... how do you use these without the pulldown?
SC2.. there was also a fighter put out by some ex-MK guys that was pretty good. I only played it once at a local gaming LAN though so I can't remember its name.
