Finally got some time last night to polish the Rock Face and wrap that up. I'm working on a mini making-of / breakdown now that should be posted to my site soon.
The wood textures are very obviously wrapped, especially on the thing over the kitchen island. Make the wood follow along the planks properly and it would look more realistic. Keep it up!
I think you've misunderstood the shapes on the grip. one part is braided but the other is clearly just a smooth cylindrical shape wrapped around the grip. yours has this odd waviness to it.
Are you using normal maps based on your painted diffuse? The shading on the wood look too pronounced to me, and the rocks look too consistently shiny, like they are wrapped in plastic.
You needed to disable "wrap" on the Projection node AND move the 3D-placement node(move in viewport) to intersect your model where you want the texture projection to show. Enjoy
I'm pretty sure half of the time on your character, is going to spent trying to get that long dragon tattoo to wrap properly around your characters arm, seams and all.
Hi Spiffy. I would suggest removing those large creases in the center of each puffy patch. Try keep it taut, at the moment it looks a bit shrink wrapped or loose.
Really nice! If you dont mind i would love see the wireframe, im really in to making environments and trying to wrap my head around some of the modelling aspects
