Damn ! if you try (and their UI is ultra intuitive) 3d-Coat UVs tools, you will never think about using 3DS Max again. Like : N-E-V-E-R. It's ultra fast, you get real time preview of the unwrapped UVS as you cut your seams, multiple unwrapping / unfolding / packing algorithms. It takes a few minutes to do what you'd do in… -

I don't know about lots of noise, image quality so far exceeds that what I've gotten out of the 5D, and that's quite a great camera in regards to low noise as well.
