Hello PolyCount Community, I got here a Model and got a problem, my Smoothing Group 1 is on but there isn´t a Smoothed surface. How can I fix that ? ( You can see it on the legs in the middle and on the arms, that are triangles not a quad) Pictures: How can I solve this ? regards Anbu
I solved the problem......exporting displacement map with 0.5 mid value, then importing it to the Vraydisplacementmod and rising Amount to high value like 40 and set shift to -20 which worked well. i thick this happed due to not scaling the model in zbrush properly.
Looks like your problem might be due to that whole area being soft-edged. If you have a 90 degree corner between two polygon surfaces, you should really consider hardening that edge. It'll solve a lot of shading issues.
Looks like the same problem I was having I while back. If it is, Rasmus is right it's a streaming issue, and at least for me setting bUseTextureStreaming to False solved the issue. Here is a link to the thread where this was discussed. http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=81023
Hello, I had some issues with Goz : it opens me maya but without the model. And In maya I have the shelf but not the icon. Can someone please help me to sum up what is the best way to solve this problem? Thanks a lot guys
just noticed i forget the readme's but yes it is meant to solve the same problem as your script Bartalon, i jsut have a few features like searching, and i store all the ddo materials in the code, and only add to scene when needed
Yeah, I guess all of that would be difficult to enforce. There are some guidelines in the new member introduction thread so at least that's something. Not that it solves anything since many of the retarded vague thread titles in the showcase threads are made by long time members and not newbies.
I have installed Windows 7 instead of XP now and I get this error, probably a pretty common problem? How do I solve it? It doesnt matter what is in the scene I always get this error: "Unknown system exception" Thanks
can't solve your problem, but about the use of that... we used it once to comp 4 4k textures together into a single UV space so maya would treat it as one big 8k texture, even though it consisted of 4 separate files...
So, you start Photoshop and load only the one file, then record your action? It's worth it to take a look at the 2nd link Bek posted. There are some great tools in there for saving DDS files. A lot easier than problem-solving a custom Action.
