Think I came across the solution already, by default Maya was set to create a new UV set every time I used planar projection. Once I unchecked that box it appears to have solved the issue.
I hope something like this never happens to me. I'm horribly vengeful and will probably not stop till the potential thief quits the internet :I Anyway, good luck solving it. Hope he learns a REAL lesson.
Yea there's alot of pinching there, with edges a tad too sharp. You need to attack sub-divisional modeling in pieces and often it requires alot of re-routing edge flow and a good eye for solving geo-flow issues.
i made a test and i see if i continiue the edge along the side solved the issue but i dont undrstand how works hard edges on maya becouse besides those new edges should not be harden
Can't wait for the breakdown. Thank you. I was building an open world in 4.5 and 4.6 but I got frustrated with the foliage lighting using the foliage tool. I'm excited now to get started again if this problem is solved.
Looks good so far. Ambitious! If you want a glass shader you might want to check out 3dmotives tutorial-the udk material series. Good luck with caustics. Interested to know how you will solve that.
Well, somehow I solved it, not sure what was causing the re-ordering. Edited a couple normals and re-exported, bingo it was fixed. Weird. Thanks for all the ideas, I'll have to check out Blender at some point.
Hi guys, I'm sorry for the delay, I had to solve some problems, but I hope I can reach the goal of the contest :( Here goes the concept of Xayah, I hope you like it! Greetings to all.
Wow - this looks like a great update and one sure to solve a lot of the headaches that people had going back and forth between packages. If it sets up proper displacement settings inside Max for you that would be a godsend.
From talking with the guys at Holley and a local carb repair shop owner, my suspicion that the float was sticking seems to have been confirmed repeatedly. We'll clean it out soon and that should solve the problem, we hope.
