Thanks.Sempoo it hard to find mtf values for cheap lenses. looks like nobody cares to measure. I took my info from imaging-resource.com before but after it had been sold it all gone from there. There are a few cheap manual lenses around currently . like TTArtisan 23 mm…
In a nutshell, repetitive combat and a poor F2P business model. The combat is pretty fun, if a little button mashy. It just gets so repetitive so quickly. It's not even the "grinding" that I have a problem with here. Your first challenge is a jelly. The next is two jellys. The next is three jellys. After that is three…
Yeah, the black outline are ray misses/artifacts. Basically means that your LP has too much of a discrepancy/gap to your high-res mesh. It's much more visible with a metallic and specular material, like what you have applied in marmoset. However, because a lot of the material would be polymer/matte, it wouldn't be as…
Yeah I was talking from game artist perspective. If you polarize your style to something weird you might limit your opportunities. Or maybe there's a studio that will hire you based solely on that. Someone more experienced with hiring process might provide more insight. As for angry birds I don't know if that's a good…
exactly. There's nothing wrong with doing any work for money, but a persons personal aspirations and desires will always determine your level of happiness doing so. I personally want to make games more than I want to make money, and if I was working in a company that had the kind of leverage as IW I would feel a loss of…
I managed to fix it! Turns out, when I created the joints for the arm, I mistakenly translated them instead of just rotating them into place, thus breaking the virtual plane. Had to learn the hard way, but at least I got the problem solved.
Thanks for the expansions :) One thing that I think is close to solving specular edge problems like you mention is having a geometric + normal map -> effective roughness conversion like Valve's Advanced VR presentation (I linked that earler up the page) and UE4's "Composite Texture" for that matter. There is no equation…
Sage: LOL Ok, solve this simple problem "A pangram is a sentence which contains every letter of the alphabet. A self-documenting pangram is one which follows the general format of: This sentence contains <number> a's, <number> b's, <number> c's, ... For example: Only a fool would check that this sentence contains exactly…
I didn't respond like that because I was upset, it was to emphasize a point that you seem reluctant to acknowledge. Like so many beginners determined to run before they can walk, you have your mind set on making something new (or at least unusual), but without taking the time to establish a solid understanding of…
Speaking of better then MotionBuilder, During one of the skyline autodesk demos, Ikinema was being used instead of HIK in Skyline. Powering Maya animation solving in a Sony engine for the demo was a cool demonstration by ikinema. What was really surprising was Autodesk's own introduction to Ikinema where they propose: that…
