I'm trying to create a feature film quality type of character and despite carrying out extensive research into this type of workflow I can't seem to figure out exactly how to achieve certain things. I already have a bit of experience in creating game ready characters and assets…

I'm gonna add details with texture. I really hope it comes out great. We are trying for video game type movie. With the pixelated textures and no anti aliasing and low poly models. The problem with the face is that, it just doesn't look that good. and here's a little progress with the model. Gonna work on the enemy now.

Hello Torch. Just one personal recommendation. Sometimes (more if you increase the complexity of the model), you will have to connect (manually) some part of the geometry to avoid these issues (broken corners etc), or change between different types of Bevel. File > Save As... > And in the drop down where you would normally choose your file type choose 3ds max 2010, 2011, ect. Hope that helps :) Note: There are bugs with the way materials are displayed in the viewport when you bring a 2012 file over to 2010. Nothing too major though. Should render fine. :)
The skin bellow the eyes looks weird. It looks like there is some scale there, it should be more blended with the face, check some reference, even typing old man face to google will help. I hope that didn't rustled your jimmies. But it is really good face, and actually fits the concept more then I would think.
You could use netstat(windows command in your command line) look for the ones which has adobe in it and add that in your hosts file like: 127.0.0.1 theabobeaddress.com most likely there will be more then one. When using netstat be sure to type netstat -f, otherwise you will only see ip´s ;) Hope that helps.
Hi Earthyn, I have heard about that method but get quite confuse, do you have any experience with that? will it effect the normal map I bake before? basically I typed down my situation in the last floor. Hope you can take a look. Thank you so much for your reply !
Yeah, like, don't select a random file in a folder and start typing, hoping for the selection to move to the file named accordingly! Last time I tried it renamed the random file! Also it seems like shift+uparrow/downarrow does weird stuff on selections. Don't forget to put your DVDs in the trash too haha!
