Awesome stuff! Very inspiring. How did you go about doing the tape wrap on that last piece? Was it all poly modeled or did you use a sculpting program for the tape?
let's start a kickstarter. if you pledge more than 25 bucks you get a fridge magnet. 45 or more a dead mosquito tightly wrapped in a penis-like box. plzwemakegameslater
Hey guys, thanks for all the input! It's about time I wrapped this one up. The final is named "Encounter". More screenshots available on my ArtStation. https://www.artstation.com/artwork/Kk0zo
Encountered an issue where the texture would wrap around to the top of the 3D model when detail placed on handle. I have kept a similar style, but repositioned the bulk of the skin's detail.
hahaha! :D no worries, i started on the shotgun. Other low polys will follow after that. It indeed is time to wrap some things up. in the meantime, you can watch this one spin
Nice work, I wouldn't be concerned about the cloth wraps with sharpness, it would help the bakes imo. I would, however, make the cloth a bit worn out/torn though.
I saran wrapped my computer chair and gold bonded the whole thing. Make sure you get a little extra in between your joystick and your joyballs. That's the sweet spot.
You gave me an idea for some modern art with that. I'm going to get a crucified Jesus, and put a QRay bracelet on one of his wrists, and wrap a shamwow around the other.
After a few days of watching tutorials for Substance Designer, I decided to dig in a create my first solo material. Materials are one of the things that I find the hardest to wrap my head around, so any feedback is greatly appreciated!
