I recommend to generally ask for feedback on every rejected application, even if you haven't done an art test, you always have the chance to get useful information back and risk nothing. This actually applies for all jobs, not just as an artist in the game industry.
thank you for all your applications we have seen some great work, unfortunately the position has now been filled, we wish everyone who applied all the best and keep producing fantastic art. Many thanks the Skymoons team
Heard back from the position I applied to and I didn't get it, but that's okay - I've gone and made some of the changes that were suggested (Haven't got to all just yet) so hopefully I can be a stronger applicant next time. Thoughts on the updated content?
Not sure, but I don't think Silo is required for the competition. This from the product description of the book from Amazon: * The techniques featured can also be applied to other 3D applications, making the skills you will learn easily transferable. Here's a screen grab of the final model in Silo:

Err, I'm not absolutely quite sure what you just asked - but yes, the job is still open. We've received a nice amount of applications and we'll choose one in the next few days (I hope). But if you're still interested, please, feel free to apply!
Are you talking about a terrain mesh? or a mesh build in an external application and imported into unity. If its the latter, you can select all of the parts or even just the parent object and click static, and it should ask if you want to also apply it to the rest of the childen objects.
I remember seeing a thread about this Must be deferred decals using a edge wear trim sheet, applied to angled decals with 2 faces you put on the edges I imagine this type of workflow must be 10x faster with some sort of script than manual application
Cool story bro. A degree is worthless if you can't produce the art and stuff that is required for the position you're applying for. When I've been looking at applications with the other concept artists and leads here at Massive we're always looking at the folios first and then the cv. Work experience is also a +
