Hmm i dont use topogun, does anybody else have some tip? None of what you wrote helped me... :-( currently i have "solved" the issue with different uvw layout (automatically created) in max, which doesnt seem to have the problems with seams, altough i would like to now why the previous had problems... any tips anybody?
I am not sure if this will solve it but it might be worth a try. Disconnect your metallic input and only use specular with a value of 0. Having metallic connected overrides specular input. There's an If-statement for that when the shader is compiling. The proper way of doing this though is having a programmer removing all…
Well crud. I should start using 3dsmax (or maya) to bake. To be honest, in my experience I never had any issues with baking in maya back in the day. But everyone recommended xnormal, so expected it to be better somehow. I guess it's just faster. It might not seem like it, but that small response really made a difference…
That doesn't make sense to me. As I understand it the only thing the suite does is generate a tile-able texture (which doesn't really matter with UV like this) and puts a mask over it. How can seams EVER match up this way. In different parts on the texture you will always have color variations. I don't see how scaling…
Yeah i have been at work doing my job and 3d has popped up and yeah solving certain issues etc one time i did have a few i wonder how i could model that moments. The first one also yes and the time thing it has flown by before I've looked at the time and I'm like shit it's 1 am.
Thanks for the help guys. The rip around the eye is part of the concept so I kinda have to keep that bit in I like the idea of the material becoming less elasticated so that small areas fall from the hole. That might solve some issues. I'm messing around with masking & alphas to see if I can get the thin stands between and…
Due to popular demand, i'm releasing the cleaned up version of my foliage systems project files + a user guide on how to change it to make it work with other foliage. I also wrote a small paper on my thought process of solving interactions with foliage. which you can download here (181 mb): https://drive.google.com/open……
Hey man, that looks pretty good! The first thing I noticed though is that there is barely any up and down motion. He only seems to move horizontally. Try pushing his hips and and down abit to give more weight Also, his left leg seems to pop slightly as it stretches forwards, try bringing this back abit or solving it with…
I use orthographic view to model from and switch to perspective to check the overall look, but I know what you're talking about. I'm not sure, but her head does look narrower and pointier in perspective view, whereas nothing recedes in my renders. I'll be sure to post some perspective shots in my next progress updates so…
+1, I'm half convinced I want to try it but the video isn't doing a great job selling it. Miauu's script packs presentation videos may not be the best in terms of sexiness but I think it shows what Pior means, each script is presented starting from the problem it is trying to solve and then proceeds to show various use…
