@orangesky "Artists in general don't seem to use this technique very often and I don't understand why it is not used more" Its a lot easier to make pretty portfolio pieces with unique textures, and setting up this kind of system is more of a tech art thing :)
Goosh, light leaking is an unfortunate byproduct of a Voxel GI system. You can adjust various settings to change the look of the render but the leaking in this type of scenario will still exist.
whats the frame rate so far and how many polygons so far and are you doing any blueprint Hierachical instanced static mesh system for the modular buildings?
currently we are implementing the menue system and the Frozen Fortress. finished this kind of soul cage yesterday. its dark soul will attack the player if he steps too close.
I agree with EarthQuake about the $1500, I think that is the sweet spot for building a killer system without going overboard...no SLI, no freaking blu-ray drive, etc.
Doesn't seem like there was much in the update, but I'm happy that they're putting more work into the landscape and foliage systems which I've been using quite a bit lately.
Awesome Wells :D Although everyone seems to have a different take on the term "Cyber-Punk". To me, Cyber-Punk is something like System Shock or Dead Space:
also take a close look at humanIK in maya/motionbuilder... how it works and how to extend the system to your needs... its the base rig in most mocap driven games...
