You don't seem to be taking to repeated critique very well. The material definition isn't really there yet. Mud usually has localized areas of pure wet and puddle vs dryer areas. Yours are not really communicating either wet mud, or dry dirt. Try working on the frequency of detail and massage the gloss map a bit more for… -

I get a lot of mine at local hobby shops, toys r us for some star wars ones but ebay is a good bet for some of the hard to get ones. Pretty good deals as well. But hit up a local hobby shop if you have any around you first and if they don't have them ask. They will know where to find them. -

Nope isolated machine, all license and programs are local. Previous iterations of the program were fine but like I said earlier I recently jumped 3 version. I reinstalled both programs to my local SSD which is my OS drive. Its literally like the materials reload/populate every single time -

Nah, multi-gizmo is handier because you set it up once and can do anything. In Max if you want to jump to local mode, you'd have to take each transform tool,then set it to local space, then do your work. And you still have to find the handles if you switch using shortcut keys... -

I've had that happen to me a few times. I can't remember what caused it but restarting max fixed it. It might have been caused by having the pivot set to local or I might have been using working pivot when it dorked out... Edit: err yea local pivot it is I guess. HA! -

Your Rotate Tool is(was) set to "Use Selection Center." It needs to be set to "Use Object Pivot." On the Main Toolbar there's a dropdown list that has the words "World", "View", and "Local".
