The latest item I have been working on over the last couple of weeks has been an L129A1 "Sharpshooter" Rifle, Complete with Folding Grip & Trijicon ACOG 6X48 TA648-308. Modeled in 3DS Max, Textured in Substance Painter. Textures are still somewhat WIP, but I think I'm getting there, Any pointers welcome as usual! -

There's also been something going on called The Great Recession, which has been happening since the financial crash of 2008. Apparently a rather serious bug has been found in the game engine upgrades. Version 2.48a should be released next week to correct the issue. It shouldn't matter but you might want to also try a standard image format like bmp, png or tga. Technically it shouldn't bother to read the extension and should only be grabbing the file name but I've been using tga's and png's and haven't tried the VTF plug-in yet. I couldn't get it to work in 3dsMax 2008 =/ -
