Looking pretty bad ass, but I think it looks wierd with his head so far forward. I know this is not a human character, but you should have added more mass in the back of the head (like the back of a persons skull). I think it would have made it a little less awkward.
Oh, i cracked my skull open when i was five. Sure as hell isn't very fun attempting to walk up stairs with a bleeding head. I fell like..10-15 ft backwards, landed on my head, right on some fucking cement. Snap, Crackle, Pop.
MMMmmmm...That's lookin' pretty hot. It would be great to see some of that same treatment going along the spine. I think it would give a bit more visual interest to the back and make those bumps pop a bit more. Perhaps even where the shoulder muscle connect and/or at the base of the back of the skull.
the front page story on the london daily mirror today was that a guy who was obssessed with playing gamecube killed his one baby son. the baby's twin also suffered a fractured skull and broken bones. he apparently killed the kid because it was distracting him. link here [edit to add link]
Haha, yeah, I totally agree with you on those. Game Dev Quick Looks make me cringe - it's like they brought the game's PR-Man into the office. Saying that, the Skull Girls folk had some pretty interesting things to say in regards to game dev philosophy, so it's not always bad.
Hey @BestiART the front torso is looking pretty good! I'd love to see the connections of the limbs to the torso. And also a view of the back. The child's skull shape looks more like an adult. Keep an eye out on that, I believe @carvuliero linked some great reference in your other thread. Cheers
Testing what more spikes would look like. I felt like there might have been to much open space on the Right, and the Left is the result. It definitely makes Nightfall more intense, but is it too much? I also adjusted the skull ornament, curving it in to be a little more flush to the rest of the weapon.
Why is it that someone always wants to compare by ramming something through our urinal tract? That's not an even comparison whatsoever. It would be more like ramming a rotton cantaloupe through your anus. A baby's head/skull is very soft at birth (for the purpose of birth). Either way, I wouldn't want to do it
thanks, throttlekitty....I was totally spacin' it on the leper retinal discharge...once I added that it's working *mostly* better now. (and switching to High Quality helped, although it changed up the overall lighting a bit, but way less z-issues -- they just 'pop' now instead of showing the underlying skull geometry) :)
I think the metal knee pad sort of clashes with the rest of the style. The style looks pretty tribal/natural, but then you've got this sort of high-tech knee armor. Maybe reconsider having a knee plate made out of something a little more inline with the style, like the the top of a skull, or bark?
