ah ha. Cool fun to be able to guess the technique. What WOULD get rid of the seaming problem is if this could be projected into the texture from worldspace like an actual decal or ut2k4 style projector. Hmm.. That might be doable in shader, or something similar enough. I'll think on it.
Yeah I have done some low poly DS spec work, it was odd because I had to use colours... I mean... COLOUR? Wheres all the rust! But it was fun to work with such limited restrictions :) May get some of that stuff up too :p
There was another thread like this where Justin_M made a live stream, 20-30 people came and had a chat and it was fun! I am going to dig that thread for you, give me 2 minutes! Edit: Here it is :) http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=77706
Ooooh this looks fun! Don't have much feedback besides just try to keep in mind about the edges in the concept are a bit more soft than what you've got now. Looking good so far! Just subbed to the thread and looking forward to more! :)
The personal project I made for fun! It was really interesting to work on this guy especially when I never tried to do anything in this style Extra poses and stuff here https://www.artstation.com/artwork/Qza5Ox Hope you like it! ^^ Tons of thanks to my friends for the feedbacks!^^
these are a great. Concise but smart overview in a fun, easy to watch format. Something great to point the total beginner towards. For myself at least, most early questions existed because I didn't have a solid understanding of the big picture. These would have helped me a lot.
I want to move into being able to also design props, so I decided to give making a quick sword ago, I was inspired mostly by weapons that would be found in games such as WoW or Diablo. I had a lot of fun with this and I will definitely be making more.
I hear what ur saying but I'm just done with the texturing lol. If I find the strength somehow, I'll go back to it. I appreciate the feeback though! Doing a final bit of fun stuff for this piece before I do my final renders!
