I don't know any skin tutorial, but if you are starting with it I would recommend SkinOrDie scripts - they are very useful and provide even more comfort then physique.
You could always write a script to export an .obj or some such per frame and import per frame into Maya. Or just do it manually if the mojo isn't avaliable.
There used to be a plugin or script around somewhere that let you create your own primitives. Can't find it in a quick search though. But I'll keep an eye out.

you could script it..... about half way down, the y an x cylinders could be "modded" to be "roads" or the at least the junctions. The problem is how do you "describe" a road junction ?
Hello Everyone. So, I am facing this issue quite a lot nowadays. This model was exported from fusion 360. My question is, is there any way to remove this edges quickly in an automated way without cleaning up manually in 3ds max ? Is there any script which can clean this up fast? Thanks in advance
