dustinbrown- Thanks man, you're right! I deleted that last page of work I had on my Cghub account. I kept it there to show my progression but I guess it's time to get rid of it since I already made my point.
When I visit Cghub and ZbrushCentral I pretty much only look at the top row stuff, whereas in Polycount I'll look through the whole forum and get to see awesome work and posts that maybe wouldn't make it to a top row setup.
Didn't know there was an image limit. So here's a few more recent things. Sci-fi character design Post apocalyptic Santa design inspired by The Road And design process for a character design for CGHubs 2d character forge And a portrait illustration thing
Thanks! That was the original inspiration :P I ended up using another reference for my building from CGHub (http://cghub.com/images/view/583537/) though. I found that building the geometry first and then working on the textures later was the best workflow for me.
Here is my entry to the contest made by Bioware and Cghub, my first challenge!!! Finally i didnt have so much time :( but at least i finished on time and learn so much during the challange, nice day! NEESHA THE QUNARI PIRATE
Continuing my tradition of posting things and not finishing, here's a cave troll. The sculpt is still very much wip, but I'd appreciated any feedback. Here's the ref, you can see more here: And the base mesh: Thanks for looking. Edit: Spelling mistake in the title, shit
I remember running a sketchbook thread on CGhub back when that was a thing, either way, I'm studying for the position of a Junior Concept artist with a specialty in props and turnarounds, I thought posting my sketches and final products would be great for long and short term improvement. Anyway, let's get started.
I'm of the opinion that personal email + personal website is the way to go. Yeah, you could put things like your artstation or other media usernames/sites on there, but then you risk getting into the type of scenario that happened with CGHub, where everybody had their CGHub profile on their business card and then it ceased…
My favorite way is through google images If I don't like what I see then I'll chose the best of the Bulk and push "Similar" button which usually finds something better, sometimes by the same artist. or browse around cghub everything there is amazing
I actually was really enjoying this, 1 I would create a website for it, 2 this forums more for game art, you would have Much better luck on conceptart.org, or cghub. I really do I like it though and hope you wont stop.
